it’s got everything a backpacker could want: cheap hostels, bars with drink specials, massages by the minute and tons of on-trend souvenirs. we ventured down khaosan road one afternoon and it was great for the day. we lounged at an open-aired bar/restaurant that had groovy electro tunes pumping, talked with other travelers and shooed away the table side peddlers trying to sell you fried scorpions on a stick. one thing you won’t see much of on khaosan road is authenticity, but it’s cheap good fun.
