with very little research, we booked our one-way ticket from india to krabi, thailand. it was that or puhket, which we haven’t heard anything good about. so krabi it was.
as mentioned here, there are two main parts of krabi: krabi two and ao nang. with a bit of researched we landed just outside of ao nang and we’re glad we did. ao nang was an 8 minute scooter ride from our wonderful Dawn of Happiness beach bungalow and had everything a beach-going tourist could want. tons of bars and restaurants, $4 massage shops everywhere you could see, a gorgeous white sand beach and a general laid back vibe. although it’s a total tourist spot, it’s void of any high rise or big box stores which allow it to keep a laid back feel. if you’re looking for a one-stop-beach that’s easy & accessible— ao nang is a great place.
we had one of the best massages to-date in ao nang at “beach massage” – aaaaahhhhmazing.
