we find ourselves thinking and talking a lot about india. the individual experiences themselves, our observances, how our time in the country has impacted us and how we’d describe it to others.
after india, i plopped myself in the white sand of thailand with the book, “the beach” by alex garland and a quote jumped off the page as it was meant to help me understand my recent experience.
“there’s this saying: in an all-blue world, color doesn’t exist. it makes a lot of sense to me. if something seems strange, you question it, but if the outside world is too distant to use as a comparison, then nothing seems strange.”
